This policy explains what IQTests — the website at iq-test.io — collects when you use it, why, and what you can do about it. It is written to be read, not to bury you.
The short version
The test is scored entirely in your browser. We run no advertising networks, and we do not sell or rent your information. The personal details we ask for are the email address you enter to unlock your result, and whatever you choose to send us through the contact form.
What we collect
Your email address. After you finish the test, you can enter an email to reveal your full result. We use Web3Forms, a third-party form service, to deliver that submission to us. We receive the address you typed along with a short summary of your score — for example, “IQ 112, 87th percentile.” If you never submit the form, we never receive an email from you.
Your answers and score. These are worked out on your device. We do not send your individual question responses to a server; the only score data that reaches us is the one-line summary above, and only when you submit the unlock form.
Contact form submissions. If you write to us through the contact page, we receive the name, email, and message you type, delivered through the same form provider (Web3Forms), so that we can reply.
Local storage on your device. The test saves a few small values in your browser — for instance, which result wording you last saw, so it doesn’t repeat, and the email you entered to unlock a result, so you aren’t asked again. These never leave your device. Each value is named and explained in our cookie policy.
Standard server logs. As nearly every website does, our hosting provider records technical request data — IP address, browser type, the page requested, and a timestamp — for security and basic operation. These logs are not used to build a profile of you.
Why we collect it
For visitors in the EU, the UK, and similar jurisdictions: we process your email on the basis of your consent, given when you submit the unlock form, and we process server logs on the basis of our legitimate interest in running a secure site. You can withdraw consent at any time — see your rights below.
Who we share it with
Two parties, no more: our form provider (Web3Forms) and our hosting provider, each acting on our behalf to deliver the service. We do not sell data, and we pass nothing to advertisers or data brokers. We would disclose information only if the law genuinely required it.
How long we keep it
Email submissions are kept only as long as we need them to reply and, if you opted in, to send the occasional update. Ask us to delete yours and we will. Server logs rotate on our host’s standard schedule.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you can ask to access, correct, delete, or export the personal data we hold, and to object to or restrict how we use it. California residents have equivalent rights under the CCPA and CPRA, including the right to opt out of any “sale” — which is simple here, because we don’t sell data in the first place. To exercise any of these, use our contact page, ideally from the same email you submitted, so we can match the record.
Children
The test is intended for adults and is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. The age conditions are set out in our terms of use.
Security and changes
Submissions travel over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection. No method of transmission is perfectly secure, but we keep the data we hold to a deliberate minimum, which is the best protection there is. If this policy changes in a way that matters, we will update the date above.
