By using iq-test.io (“the site”), you agree to these terms. They are short and written in plain language; please read them.
What the site is
IQTests offers a free online reasoning test and the explanatory pages around it. The result is an educational estimate, provided for self-interest and general insight. It is not a clinical, medical, psychological, or psychiatric assessment, and it is not a diagnosis. We repeat this across the site because it matters: decisions with real consequences should rest on a supervised assessment by a qualified professional, not on an online test. Our methodology explains exactly what the score measures and where its limits lie.
No professional advice
Nothing here is medical, psychological, legal, or career advice, and using the site creates no professional relationship between you and us. If you have concerns about your cognition, learning, or development, consult a licensed practitioner.
Access and acceptable use
There are no accounts to create, and the site is provided free of charge. We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of it at any time without notice. You agree not to misuse it: no attempting to disrupt or overload it, no scraping or automated harvesting of its content, no reverse-engineering it in order to clone it, and no unlawful use of any kind. The reasoning items and explanatory text are ours or our licensors’; the ICAR-derived items are used under their public-domain terms; you may not republish the site’s content as your own.
Your submissions
If you enter an email to unlock a result, you confirm it is a genuine address you are entitled to use. How we handle it is set out in the privacy policy, and the small files the test stores are listed in the cookie policy.
Third-party links and disclaimer
Some pages link to outside sources, such as research papers. We don’t control those sites and aren’t responsible for their content. The site itself is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy or fitness for a particular purpose. Results carry an inherent margin of error and may not reflect your performance on a different day or with a different instrument.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, IQTests is not liable for any loss arising from your use of, or reliance on, the site or its results. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the minimum the law permits.
Changes and governing law
We may update these terms; the current version is dated above, and continued use after a change means you accept the revised version. These terms are governed by the laws applicable to the operator of IQTests, and any dispute will be handled by the courts holding proper jurisdiction over it.
Questions about any of this can go to our contact page. To see who is behind the site, read about; to see the terms in practice, take the free test.
